I’d rather be exploring

I have a test today (and tomorrow)! Wish me luck. I’d rather be up there, at Giant’s Castle in the Drakensberg. The sunrise-pink clouds were a non-event that morning, so I decided to take a few self portraits instead. Every time we visit Giant’s Castle I yearn for more time to just wander and explore, but with only a few days there we were determined to get back up to the Vulture Hide. I’ll write about that later, but it was yet another amazing experience.

I love the quiet of the berg. The wind is soft and breathes through the dry winter grass, and the river is always rushing quietly along. It’s something I really miss when I’m in cities, where the busy noise is relentless and meaningless. I treasure the memories of the times I have spent there, and plan for future adventures.
