Two days in Paris

The end of our England trip was spent in France. Chris and I stayed in Paris for two very hot days so we could catch cheaper flights home from CDG Airport. We took the Eurostar from London – the first time I’ve ever gone between countries on a train! (It’s a little hard to do that in New Zealand). It was a very quick trip, although we were delayed by people mucking around on the tracks for around 40 minutes.

My second visit to Paris was a stark contrast to the first. Instead of freezing rain, we had clear skies and blistering heat. Instead of standing in impossible queues to ascend the Eiffel Tower, Chris and I chose to go up the Montparnasse Tower, which was much less crowded and had stunning views of the city. We spent our full day wandering in the heat, taking photos and lunching on delicious pastries. It was a lovely way to end our trip.
